New Business Telesales Agent

Experienced, ambitious telesales people required to join a fun working environment in the Horley, Surrey area near Gatwick Airport.

Softline UK Ltd is a UK-based distributor of Macintosh-related software and hardware. Founded in 1990, Softline has become one of the UK's leading value added Macintosh software and peripheral distributors, successfully creating and continuing to nurture the Macintosh consumer market both here in the UK and throughout Europe. Softline is looking for telesales agents to receive inbound and make outbound calls to area retailers to generate sales of our vendors products. We are looking for motivated candidates with a passion for the products they sell. In return for dedication and success there is a competitive salary, with the opportunity of earning commission.

Here are details of what we're looking for...

Responsibilities:

• To sell, primarily by telephone, software and hardware products and services to technology retailers, maintaining and improving on revenue targets, profit including rebate performance and traded accounts, whilst maintaining the highest standards of customer service.
• Keeping abreast of all new products released and ensuring relevant information is filtered to retailers and their sales teams.
• Proactively seeking new business through our current customer base whilst searching for new account opportunities.

Duties:

• Receive incoming customer calls in line with required service levels, taking customer orders, providing information on product: availability, discontinuation & special offers and to provide pricing and quotations to customers.
• 60% Proactive outbound calls seeking new business.
• Participate in activities which improve service levels: maintain and improve product knowledge & market knowledge - training initiatives to increase knowledge and skills
• Consistently meet and exceed targets, competent and effective operation of the computer systems and telephone systems.
• Customer visits may be required on an ad hoc basis.

Reporting to:

• Senior Business Manager.

Skills & Training:

• Good commercial and communication skills to include overcoming objections.
• Excellent telephone and customer service skills.
• Team Player.

Experience:

• Proven track record within a sales environment.
• Knowledge of distribution market is an asset.
